The fourth and last Steering Committee meeting of ‘’Justice Monitoring Project'' took place
The fourth and last Steering Committee meeting of the Project took place on September 19th 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Yerevan.
The Steering Committee meeting considered the results and status of implementation of the Project in the course of its third six-month reporting period presented by its Team Leader Mr. Eric Svanidze and Deputy Team Leader Ms. Liana Ghaltaghchyan.
Mr. Eric Svanidze presented two main reports published during the Project which are “Peoples’ Justice Needs and Expectations in Armenia” and the report on the complaints mechanism(s) available to persons deprived of their liberty and held in penitentiary establishments of the Republic of Armenia. Mr. Svanidze emphasized that after the final editing the report on the “Peoples’ Justice Needs and Expectations in Armenia” will be republished and the online version will be available. He also presented the upcoming trainings which will be held for the justice sector actors.
At the meeting representatives from the Ministry of Justice (Director of Legal and Judicial PIU Tatevik Davtyan), EU delegation (Davit Avakian), Prosecutor General’s office (Alisa Amirkhanyan), Investigative Committee (Anush Gasparyan), Academy of Justice (Tigran Poghosyan), Judicial Department (Armen Harutyunyan), Helsinki Citizens’ assembly (Mariam Antonyan), Transparency International (Heriknaz Tigranyan) were present.
